Ron
Also known as Chala
The people of Bokkos, whose Butura community keeps Nahwai and a stone causeway that local account dates to well before anything else on this site.
History
The Ron are the principal indigenous group of Bokkos Local Government Area, on the western side of the Plateau. Butura is one of their communities and the one with the most visible cultural calendar.
The Butura community holds the Nahwai cultural festival annually in February, with traditional dance, indigenous music and exhibitions of local produce.
A stone causeway at Butura is the festival's centrepiece and is described locally as over two thousand years old.
Dress
We hold photographs of Ron dress but no description we would stand behind in writing yet. The pictures are below; the words are still owed.

Still missing from this record: dress, food, dance. The published material on the Ron is thin in these areas, and filling the gaps means asking people rather than reading more.
